The visa period has been unified, the cost of tourist visas has been reduced by one third, the minimum number of tourists in tourist groups has been reduced by half.
On December 4, 2017, within the framework of the implementation of the Program of Priority Measures for the Development of Tourism in Uzbekistan for 2018-2019 changes were made in the procedure for issuing tourist visas:
- a single tourist visa for individual foreign citizens has been introduced for a period of 30 days. Earlier, foreign citizens receiving a tourist visa for a short period of time (for 7 or 15 days), for delayed return flight from the country for any reason, faced the problem of extending the validity of visas;
- reduced by one third (from $ 60 to $ 40) for the processing of entry tourist visas for individual foreign tourists;
- the lower threshold (from 10 to 5 people) has been lowered twice the number of tourists for the registration of a group tourist visa. Previously, there was a requirement for a minimum of 10 tourists to register a group tourist visa, since in most cases groups are formed from close friends or relatives, usually consisting of 5 people or more.
